The St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway supports the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to help cure childhood cancer. This initiative offers participants a chance to win their dream home while directly contributing to saving children's lives. St. Jude hosts over 40 home giveaways nationwide each year, and we are proud to partner with them to raise awareness for this impactful campaign right here in Jackson, MS. I helped develope and execute all marketing aspects, from creative strategy to post-giveaway analysis, helping raise over a million dollars over the course of four months. Thanks to the generosity of sponsors, five additional prizes were offered to five other ticket buyers. The winners were picked live on tv. This campaign was a tremendous success, with every ticket purchased ensuring that families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food—allowing them to focus entirely on their child's health.

Some of the post competition advertisement included creating promotional ads acknowledging the winner of the 2024 Jackson St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway, and inviting the winner on different news segments to showcase the prize. In addition to the home, other prizes included custom jewelry, gas and grocery packages, and a $2,000 Visa gift card, all made possible by generous sponsors.

The Margaritas In May Competition is an annual campaign designed to support local businesses in central and southwest Mississippi. FIRST ALERT WEATHER FALL IMAGE CAMPAIGN

The primary aim of these campaigns is to connect with viewers on a personal level by incorporating real-life scenarios into the promos. Young Black men are rarely portrayed as fathers in TV commercials, and my goal was to shine a light on this narrative. I also wanted to show them enjoying a fun, active day indoors, despite the rain forecast by the First Alert Weather team.

24/7 STREAM

The WLBT 24/7 First Alert Weather Channel is a way to stay informed with Mississippi's most accurate forecast. The greatest pro regarding the channel is the fact that it's available anytime, anywhere, on the WLBT News app or a viewers preferred streaming devices. It delivers real-time updates and hour-by-hour forecasts from the WLBT First Alert Weather team. Viewers can always count on the WLBT Weather team for round-the-clock weather coverage, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

SKYCAM NETWORK

The WLBT First Alert Skycam Network offers viewers live glimpses of weather conditions across multiple cities. FIGHT THE BLIGHT

Fight The Blight is a year-long initiative in 2025 focused on addressing blight in Jackson and the surrounding areas of Mississippi. With thousands of abandoned and deteriorating properties in Jackson alone, WLBT aims to not only raise awareness of the issue but also explore solutions and encouraging ongoing conversation to drive real progress throughout the year. Two stories are shared each month that dive into how blight affects property values, crime, gangs, economic development, homelessness, and more. Also, weekly updates will be given on a designated day to keep the conversation going.
